I think Proctor ultimately made the right decision. I think his only fault was telling a lie in his attempt to save his his self in the first place. He should not have lied in the first place. In the end he made the right decision.
1.)An example of a metaphor is at the beginning of Act II. Proctor come inside and he tastes the pot of stuff Elizabeth has over the fire. He isn't pleased at all and he adds a pinch of salt. That is a metaphor of their marriage. Like the pot of food, Proctor just isn't satisfied with his marriage to Elizabeth, he wants to spice it up and add some salt just like he did to the food. His salt to his marriage being Abigail.
2.) An example of hyperbole is line 23 when Proctor: I think we'll see green fields soon. It's warm as blood beneath the clods. Proctor is exaggerating how hot it really is.
I personally think the ending of the play was disturbing. I did not like it. Proctor should have confessed instead of being hung. I think it was a very ignorant decision on his part. I probably would have confessed before I would allow people to hang me.
I thinnk the end of the play was unexpected because at one point he wanted to confess and when he confessed he changed hid mind because him confessing would result in people being hung. I think he made a good decision because one way or another he was going to be hung. I would have confessed and got out and went home.
it was not as good as the beginning of the play...no, cause he didn't confess to everything..if i was in proctors shoes i would have confessed to everything so i wouldn't be in trouble or threatened to be hung!
I think that the play was really good. But i dont like some of the stuff that happened, Proctor got himself hung by not confessing he just wanted to save others,i guess thats what kept the play interesting
I think this play was a mystery. We didn't ever find out who actually used witchcraft and it's still unsolved. I think Proctor didn't make the right decision. He confessed to helping the devil and when it came time to sign the paper he didn't want to give it to the man. He wasted his life and got killed for a stupid reason. If I were in his shoes I would I would have done like Abigail and skipped town. Worry Free!!!! =)
I think John Proctor did the right thing by confessing to Danforth about speaking with the devil. I would have done the same thing because when I am guilty about something it comes back around on me when I lie to someone.
I think John Proctor did the right thing at the end of the play. He confessed that he was consulting with the devil but he didn't want to ruin anyones name. He decided to tell do what he thought was right he died confessing the truth.
I think that Procter made a good decision at the end of the play. If Iwasin his shoes I wouldn't like my decision but I would be glad it was over. All of it. Abigail and all.
i thank john proctor did the right thing at the end of the play. he confessed that he was consulting with the deveil but he didn't want to ruin anyones name. he decided to tell do what he thought was right he died confessing the truth
I think John Proctor did the right thing by confessing to Danforth about speaking with the devil. I would have done the same thing because when guilty about something it comes back around on me when i lie to someone
You have to fight for whats right. Proctor made the right choice... He died for what he thought was the right thing to do, which in my eyes is a very brave thing to do.
I think that Proctor made the right decision when it came down to it. He was so tired of lying that he finally was just gonna stick to the truth when it finally came down to it. If i were in his shoes i would have been doing the same thing
I think Proctor not admitting and telling the truth was very ignorant on his part. If I was about to be hung I wouldn't have made the decision he did. Even though it was a dumb decision it made the ending of the play very interesting. It made a good ending.
The reason why Proctor did what he did is to confess to what he did to not get anybody else in trouble and his wife that tried to save him.Proctor wanted to get it over with and confess the truth.
I think that Proctor made the right decision when it came down to it. He was so tired of lying that he finally was just gonna stick to the truth when it finally came down to it. If i were in his shoes i would have been doing the same thing
I THINK THIS PLAY WAS A MYSTERY. WE DIDN'T EVER FIND OUT WHO ACTUALLY USE WITCHCRAFT AND IT'S STILL UNSOLVED.BECAUSE HE WAS COMING TO THE POINT WHERE HE WANTED TO CONFESS BUT HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE SHOULD DO BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE BEING HUNG.
I think that he made the right choice because he was tired of lying and he wanted to set a good example for his children which i think was a good choice. I would have confessed because i would not have wanted to die.
I believe Proctor made the correct decision. He truly believed he was doing the correct thing. However, the ending act seriously sucked. Just saying...
I believe that proctor made a semi-correct decision. It's not right to lie, but then it's not right to die if there's a way you know you can prevent it. He was pretty much stuck with no choices at all. So he made the wrong desicion in my book. I would of gotten my family and ran FAR away from the mad place! Xo
It was rather depressing and a terrible slap of reality. I believed Proctor made the right decision in stating the truth of his actions and life. Therefore he died a honorable man at least to his family. I'm really not sure what I would have done. I will say i would have wanted to tell the truth but in all reality I'm not sure if I would or not for fear of losing my life.
I think the ending of the play was a dropping point in the play to see John Proctor and others get Hung for witchcraft. I think it was a very stupid thing on his part, I would have confessed before they were able to hang me for witch crafts.
I think Proctor made the wrong decision by trashing his confession. Later in the crucible people started to confess to witchcraft, even though they lied about the confession, it saved them from being hung.
I think Proctor made the wrong decision by trashing his confession. Later in the crucible people started to confess to witchcraft, even though they lied about the confession, it saved them from being hung.
I think that John Proctor made the right choice even though lieing could save his life. its not right to lie about something when you know your innocent
Proctor was standing up for what he thought was right, he was tired of people being allowed to "confess" and their slate be clean. He rather died and honest man than lie to live. I believe I would have done the same.
I believe Proctor made the correct decision. He truly believed he was doing the correct thing and he is happy there is nothing anyone cloud have done .
Yes i know the Proctor made the right decision. If i were in his shoes i would have made the same choice. This is because i wouldnt want innocent people death on my hands, i would not want people to actually think that i have practiced witchcraft when i know everything that Abigail said was lie. I would have honestly took the option of being hang.
i think proctor made the wright decision. he tried to lie in order to save his wife and then mary warren spoke up and told the truth. if i was proctor in his shoes i would have told the truth a lot earlier than what he did.
I think Proctor made the right decision. The only bad thing Proctor did was trying to keep his good name. But Proctor was happy in the end with the decision he made.
I really liked how the play ended. I think he made the right move because, in a way its dying for Jesus, and God. He is proving a point to everyone else. Though his pride may have gotten in the way, he still died instead of lying. That takes bravery.
I believed Proctor made the right decision in stating the truth of his actions in life. I would have confessed because I love life because its God's Greatest gift of all. God works hard for your life and i would not just throw it away.
I think Proctor made the wrong decision by trashing his confession. Later in the crucible people started to confess to witchcraft, even though they lied about the confession, it saved them from being hung.
I think the ending of the play was a dropping point in the play to see John Proctor and others get Hung for witchcraft. I think if everyone would've just confessed then everyone wouldn't been hung.
I thought the end of the play ended right because John Proctor shouldn't have been hanged for someone else's lies. He didn't make the right decision because he never should have even talked to Abigail in the first place. If I was in John Proctor's shoes I would have told Abigail to go away and wouldn't have believed her lies.
I don't think it was the right decision but I do think it was a heart felt one. If I was in his shoes I probably would have done the same to end other people s pain and to stop the pain and suffering of my family.
I believe Proctor made the correct decision. He truly believed he was doing the correct thing and he is happy there is nothing anyone cloud have done .
I think Proctor made the right and good decision by standing up for what he believed in because saying and doing the right thing will help you in the future. If I was in his shoes, I would have done the same because God will help you with what ever need to be done if you do what is right.
I think Proctor should have signed the confession. Proctor should have realized that a name means nothing. Later in the crucible a lot of people started to confess even though it was a lie but you can always repent.
Proctor wanted to keep his good name. He was through lyingb about everything. What he did was the right thing, but if i were him I would have said one finsl lie. Who wants to die? Not me!
I don't think he made the right decision because he got hung but later in the story a lot more people confessed to witchcraft but they didn't get hung. he should have waited
I think the end of the play was suprising and kind of sad and Yes I think Proctor did the right thing because he did what he thought was right and he was honest. If i was in his shoes I think I would be to scared to tell the truth because of what would happen to me if I did
I believe that Proctor made the right decision. Now his sons can grow up knowing that his father was not a liar and that they have to follow the name of their father.
I believe Proctor made the right decision. proctor shows that he sticks to his word and is always honest, and when his sons grow up at least they will know their father never lied. I like that Proctor made the decision he did.
I think Proctor ultimately made the right decision. I think his only fault was telling a lie in his attempt to save his his self in the first place. He should not have lied in the first place. In the end he made the right decision.
I think Proctor made the right decision and the end of the play was good. If I was in his shoes I would be thankful its over.
